can anyone tell me anything about indiana shortlines such as JK Line, A & R Line, Fulton County, Wabash Central, and Central Indiana & Western? In the December 2003 Trains it says both JK Line and A & R Line are being abandoned. are any of the other lines such as Fulton County still in operation? I am also operated in businesses served by these lines.

Look up your endangered shortlines under the STB's "decisions and Notices" page at www.stb.dot.gov If the abandonment happened since 1996, you can search for it under the AB-Dockets.... (TP&W/Railamerica for JK and A&R)
CI&W should not be confused with the Cincinnati, Indianapolis & Western (CH&D/B&O/CSX) whose Hillsdale, IN to Montezuma, IN section is in the process of dying (See Parke County IN Industrial ReDevelopment Agency)...also look at the links at Madison County Rails' site
