Train watchers flock to Sand Patch
On almost any given weekend, the migration is visible. They can be seen loaded up with camera equipment that would make professional photographers envious.
They are train watchers, or, as they call themselves, railfans. This region, and in particular, southern Somerset County, is a destination for railfans from around the world. The focus of their attention is Sand Patch.
