We often forget that not everyone recognizes many of the reporting marks, past and present. You might find these sites helpful:

Larry Resident Microferroequinologist (at least at my house) Everyone goes home; Safety begins with you My Opinion. Standard Disclaimers Apply. No Expiration Date Come ride the rails with me! There's one thing about humility - the moment you think you've got it, you've lost it...
I worked for the TPW starting in 2005. When I was there we would still park NOKL and TPW Covered Hoppers down by keystone steel and wire. Most of these cars were going to the ADM plant. But some would also go past mapleton. The railamerica owners dont like pardon the expression but they dont like foamers on property.
Infact, there was a gentlement that basically went intot the yard office and stated his position of the railroad and everything that he was helped with as far as road frieghts. They allowed him on the property since he was such a huge help giving us roll by and things like that. As long as you stay at least 50 feet from any of the tracks you will be ok. If you want to catch the EPEGAL on its way to Galesburg it runs Monday, Wednes, and Friday.
