The noise scared everything away but Mookie!

LOL You think driver is loud, ya otta hear Jim. [:0] I used to live in an old apartment building and have been awaken by pounding on the wall. Poor neighbors couldn't sleep--wonder why? [:D]
The driver used to be a silent sleeper! Then he got comfortable and quit waiting for the "attack". He doesn't exclusively sleep on his left side any more either!
Guess he feels safe now. Finally!

Mookie.....I'm curious, do you especially like Chessie? And do you consider it praise or blaspheme that the short-lived "Lake Country Limited" was nicknamed "The Kitty Train?" (Because boxcars carrying catfood were usually seen....it was intended to be a mixed train)
Actually Mookie is a CBQ/BNSF fan - Chessie wasa bit far east for me - but I am working my way that direction, slowly. I did always like their sleeping kitten logo - I actually have a picture of the real Mookie doing just that - when she was young, she would crawl up in bed early in the morning (it was cold on the floor) and would usually sleep way under the covers. This one morning, however, she got turned around and is sharing a pillow with my driver - lying on her side with one arm out and covers arranged just below her arm. Perfect picture! Even if the driver has his mouth open! [;)]

I'm surprised no one mentioned the story ABOVE that one, I was laughing my head off. Here it is for those who havent read it yet...

Can you hear me now?

NEW YORK CITY – It had to happen eventually: Someone riding a train, in this case, a Metro-North commuter train last Wednesday night, dropped his cell phone into a toilet and for whatever reason, decided to stick his hand in to retrieve it. Not grossed out, yet? Well, the rider got his arm stuck.

Rider Edwin Gallart’s fishing expedition on the 6:19 p.m. Harlem line local out of Grand Central Terminal caused the conductor to have a supervisor come aboard at the next stop, but not even the power of middle management could extract the problem. A rescue crew boarded a few stops farther up the line and halted the train. Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life and power tools to cut through the toilet, which had to be torn out of the lavatory before being cut open to free Gallart’s arm. Passengers either had to wait for the rescue to be completed or take other trains to their final destinations.

The phone? It never was found. Even if it was, would you ever want to use it again?

   Have fun with your trains

Sounds like a win/ win for everybody.
But if "momma" had showed up, bet the warden and the inspecter would have beat feet real quick!
