HAZARDOUS WASTE SPILL IN LA

Got your attention didn't it?

I just thought it was interesting that when a railroad has a derailment everyone screams about death and destruction from hazardous waste (warranted or not).  When a truck loses some drums of the bad stuff on an LA freeway it hardly warrants two paragraphs in a traffic report.

Notably absent - Reporters spewing wild speculation about the contents of the drums, number of deaths, damage to the enviroment, lawsuits, and so on.

Also notably absent - Residents who maintained for years that the speed and frequency of the trucks on the freeway are directly responsibly for the accident.

You think this is bad? Just wait until inflation kicks in.....
