(Off topic) What are the rules for copyrighted downloaded Photos.

Read the rules for a given site - most all of them specify the copyright remains with the photographer.
Have been a few instances of folks downloading images and claiming them as their own - fortunately not heard of this happening often.

I upload most of my photos to Photobucket.com,Webshots,Yahoo and rrpicturearchives.net. How do these web sites treat you when downloading photos to their site? Are those photos protected by a copyright? Can anyone explain to me how this all works. Thanks.
