the other day I heard about ns and bnsf posibly making a deal to run a straight shot from east to west. I don't know if there is anyting to it. Has anyone eles heard about this, or is it old news.

well its kinda old news yes they are taking intermodel from coast to coast its supposed to cut down 1-2 days of wait time on the consignee. the problem in intermodel was in the interchange wait. now they are run thru. they only info not given to us was if we will use the same power all the way or put or power on at interchange.

THERE ARE TWO, ONE BETWEEN CALIFORNIA AND THE SOUTH (ATLANTA?) VIA KCS HAULAGE. THIS HAS BEEN IN SERVICE FOR SOME MONTHS. THE NEW ONE IS BETWEEN CALIFORNIA AND THE NORTHEAST. FOR DETAILS SEE BNSF AND NS WEBSITES UNDER NEWS RELEASES.
