Where does Iowa stand now? I know that that staate has lost a lot of route miles since 1968.
Thanks,

Thanks 1435mm ! Especially for giving us the top 10! I was guessing Texas and California would be in the top three, but didn't realise Indiana would be down at #9. Quite a jump (just under 3,000 miles) from TX down to IL...Dave
Thanks to Chris / CopCarSS for my avatar.
// Guessing here: TX, PA, IL? or does KS slide in there?
I found August Trains Mag Map of the Month very interesting , comparing railroad routes in Ohio, between 1946 and 2006. Bill Metzger mentioned in his article that Ohio is now ranked fourth in total route mileage. What would be the top three states for total route mileage? Dave
