It sounds like this is completely the WSOR's fault too, the crew failed to notice an axle dragging on the engine on their trackage before entering the CN, despite having a nice curve to look back at their train just before the switch to the CN.......

Yep, was my former employer, Wisconsin and Southern. Word going around was the train derailed on their own track just before the Grand Ave. interlocking, and piled up on the other side of town.
I predict the Feds taking a REEEAL close look at the WSOR again.
