QUOTE: Originally posted by cprted Before the coming of diesel all CP locomotives were built at the Angus Shops in Montreal. During the 50's (?60's) the Angus Shops became Montreal Locomotive Works (which was really a division of Alco) and built locomotives into the 70's when they were shut down. Now most of CP fleet is made up of GE AC4400's, SD60's, and a few Alcos that haven't run themselves into the ground yet. Check out www.railscanada.com for some more info.
