I have seen Talgo trains in Vancouver,WA. being pulled by a BN GP39.No Amtrak unit is needed, since these trains have a seperate power car.
Ride Amtrak. Cats Rule, Dogs Drool.

Whats has been the weirdest power combonation you have seen for Amtrak trains? What I am talking about is when locomotive dies and has to be resuced what has it been?

I have seen them with a GP30, rode on with a SD40-2/P42 combo, and had a F59PHI at one end and a Dash 9 at the other end (this is on Amtrak California trains).
