History yes, future no except for the rare shipper special to show off the line to investors or customers. The line of course had early passenger trains, after WW2 it was the route of the Dakota 400, not as flashy as the "400" but it did get newer equipment and a faster schedule. Later this was cut back to the Minnesota 400 terminating at Mankato. The biggest passenger draw on the line was __________
The Mayo Clinic, which is now fighting the rebuilding of the line.
