Does anyone know exactly what they're doing at the diamond at Rochelle? Last week I saw a crew install some kind of post on the UP side. Does that have anything to do with the track work going on currently?
Thanks,
Mick

They're two different railroads, so the track work is probably not coordinated.
FYI, traffic on the BNSF side has dropped way below its normal level. This line parallels the Mississippi further up the line as it approaches Minneapolis/St. Paul, and they had to close that line temporarily due to the flooding. Bet that will involve a lot of track work once the water recedes.
