Whoops! I just remembered something else.

SP&S ( Spokane Portland & Seattle the 4th road in the BN Merger )

LBF 50' FMC Double Door Modern Box Cars ( Panel or Corrugated Doors )
Cascade Green with Yellow lettering. 12 numbers each style of door.
http://www.lbfcompany.com/series-2200.htm

I used to see these cars all the time in Denison, Texas on the MKT.

Mark

Thanks for that--I went on Ebay and found that car and bought it. Hopefully there are more out there that people can point out.

One addition:

CB&Q

Roundhouse ( Now Athearn ) RTR 40' Modern Box Car.
Cascade Green with BN Style "Burlington" lettering, no herald.
Two Numbers.

Anybody else know of more pre-BN paint test goodies?

Northern Pacific, Burlington Route, and Great Northern, in anticipation of governmental approval, painted some of their rolling stock in cascade green liveries. As far as I can tell, the following such rolling stock is available in HO scale. Please make additions or corrections as necessary:

CB&Q

Life Like P2K SD45 #525 and #530
Athearn Genesis 60' Auto Parts Box Car (possibly two road numbers)
Red Caboose Evans Coil Car

NORTHERN PACIFIC

Athearn Blue Box Pullman-Standard 54' Covered Hopper
Athearn RTR 40' Box Car (two numbers)
Atlas Extended Vision Caboose

GREAT NORTHERN
