AEM7-ALP44 Specifications
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, July 28, 2003 9:15 PM

Our Microsoft Train Simulator "Virtual Locomotive Works" is busy preparing the release of several Electric Motors... One of which is the AEM7
Now I have seen specifications for this motor all over the web with figures that appear to be randomly generated. (VBG)
In particular I've seen the original units rated at 5800hp continuous and 7000hp short time....
And I have seen no comparable numbers for the rebuilt AC units - other than 7000hp....
Does any one know what the ratings really are?
include CTE and MTE?
AEM7(dc) Original as delivered
AEM7L As "upgraded" for ATS and ACSES
AEM7(ac) As rebuilt by Wilmington Shops from the kits ....

We would really appreciate any help we could get

Yep.... Just doing the final cross checks on our physics....
Don't want to make it too easy for the rivet counters! :-)
