I understood that Ross Rowland, the engine's owner, was not satisfied with the moentary amount of the potential bids and will not put it up for auction unless he feels sure of getting more than $1 million for the engine. Basically, the trips in New Jersey ran into what many "tourist" operations experience - after several years everybody who wants to ride the train has and there aren't enough new out of town tourists to make a profit.

The 614 was supposed to be auctioned off, then because of weather the event was cancelled. Does anyone know what is or might be happening with the 614?
