Well, with a name like Jenny, wouldn't you have aliases?

I have never cared for my name and my husband has always called me Putzy. Mookie is actually our aged cat. (Her name is Abby and she didn't like that either). My husband called me by my first name the other day and it startled me!

Jenny is a fine name and I bet it fits you too.
If you were into steam(maybe you are) You could than be called "steam jenny"
No, Your husband probably wouldn't like that because people would allways think of you as being HOT.

Ok - this is for all of you kind people who have replied!

Everytime I read this forum, I have a fan on - high!

Jenny comes from a grandmother, but she was Jennie. Do you know how many ways people can manage to mess up Jenny? Jan, Joan, Jean, Jane - my own mother-in-law called me Jan - bless her heart.

I love steam engines. The Big Boy and I spend a lot of time together in books and on tape. Have some more I haven't had time to review of other steam engines.

I had to come into the modern world to keep up with y'all. So that is why I am here, to learn more about what goes on now as opposed to what went on many years ago. I see modern locomotives every weekend. I never see a steam engine.

I won't post a picture because I want you to picture me any way you want. But always remember, I am a little smarter than an acorn, but not a genius. I am totally female. Always have been, always will be. I will treat you with respect and expect the same from you. I am very happily married and my husband willingly goes along with my hobby because he loves me. We are as close to an ideal couple as you will find.

He knows I talk to the gentlemen and ladies of the forum and even joke around with a few of them. He is a karate instructor and has ladies in his class. We don't fix something that ain't broke.

I hate being so long-winded, but before the newcomers think we have a cat-house forum instead of trains - I wanted to interject this part.

I don't mind the ribbing that goes on - I am not a prude. So don't let that stop you. Sometimes you people are so funny I spend the day with a smile on my face. I have always enjoyed railroad humor - even when it is crude. You won't embarrass me, only yourselves. So carry on as usual.

I wish I knew what was going on with this, as I'd like to have a good laugh (albeit without the vein-popping).

As for your little bio, Jen, you've reinforced my image of you quite well. I love your childlike enthusiasm and curiosity, coupled with a well-honed adult wit. I now suspect that you're somewhat younger than I, sort of like the kid-sister-who-loved-trains-that-I-wish-I-had.

And if your husband ever drives you toward Chicago in your pursuit of answers and trains, that's how you'd be treated!

(other nicknames are too mushy or obscene for this post, even if you are just one of the guys.)

Carl - Thank you for your kind words! I really do appreciate them. And you have hit it right - nothing too complicated about me - I am basic mid-western and curious about a lot of things.

And for the rest of you gentlemen - I am going to only tell Carl this, so the rest of you go read something else. Except Skeets and I think he already knows this.

I was born on Pearl Harbor Day - only 2 years later. Now you do the math and don't tell anyone! Let them think I am anywhere from 23 to 90 and a ditzy blonde (actually I am a dizzy brunette - according to MO.

So we may be closer than you think! A Senior Citizen Forum! :)

Carl - forgot to tell you - I think it was Wabash and Cabforward got into a small squabble and one of them peed on the other's Cornflakes (I can't even type this w/o laughing!) and one called the other one a Putz and I fell down laughing!

The Webmaster didn't find it so funny (he probably did, but has to maintain decorum)
so he locked the subject and now it is gone!

It was right up there with Ed's toaster and coffee pot!

You really had to be there!

Shoot...my loss. I'll just have to drown my sorrow by going to work today, on my day off.
(an eight-hour overtime binge!)

Hmmm...so I was wrong about the calendar, though we're definitely in the same decade!

That's OK...you can still be my kid sister!

LOL it went like this...

Cabforward was having a few problems.. legitimate or not.. i wasn't there... and they probobly were...

Drailed1999 used one word "PUTZ!" to describe cabofrward.. was it funny??? absolutely!! i was crakin my ribs laughing.

Then Wabash Chimed in. I can't Remeber what he said.. But.. it was hillarious..

That made cabfoward fly through the roof... he came back with a whole bunch of statements that made jsut about every one angry.

And then name calling ensued back and forth.. and i couldn't resist addming my 2 cents in to slam down cabforward (Sorry, man it won't ahppen again)

Apparently what i said was so bad.. David Voss.. Decided to take it upon himself (and i really do wish he wouldn't have) to close the topic (in case Cabforward came back with soemthign even worse then what i said) anyways it was the best thing this forum has seen since who knows when.

However, i dissaprive.. and if Dave your watching.. i'm voicing how I feel.. so please don't erase me for saying this... i dissaprove of you closing that topic off.. it was jsut getting intresting.

look on page 3 or 4 or 5.. it might still be aorund..
