[:I] Now we (as in the family) have made regular trips to the East Troy Railroad, been down to the Illinois Railway Museum (Day out with Thomas [;)]) and also the Kettle Moraine Scenic Railway. We also have a bunch of RR videos (not just Thomas videos) which my two boys watch frequently. When I was younger I had my own HO layout (it was roughly 8'x8') which I spent a lot of time on. I remember being 5 years old, staying up until past 2am watching B&W war movies and "helping" my father with his double-tiered O Gauge layout. We attended quite a few swap meets and made trips to club layouts. We also made frequent trips to his buddies house and would either help out with his huge layout, listen to them talk trains or watch train movies. Every Christmas I looked forward to visiting my two uncles who always had their Lionel trains setup around the Christmas tree. Oh yeah, there is currently an N Scale oval that has taken up residence (temporarily [;)]) on the kitchen table. [:I] So railfan, perhaps...just not a railfan-atic.
