Here are some facts.
Average number of trains loaded per day.
Bailey Mine 4-7
Emerald Mine 1-4
Federal Mine 1-2
Blacksville No 2 1-3
Loveridge Mine 1-4
LaBelle 1-2 per week
Not all go through the street running as some transfer to barges at Alicia.
Stay off mine property and obviously use caution while watching trains.
Main radio frequency is 160.800 and CSX will also use 160.230.
No day is specifically better than the rest but mines do not load on Sunday so don't bother with Sunday or Monday.
Hope this helps.
Dale

I am not sure how many trains NS or CSX run in a day through the street in West Brownsville, but from my experience 7 years ago Fridays and Saturdays were good days for watching or photographing trains.

Mid of June this year I'll be travelling the States for some railfanning. I also want to visit the street trackage in West Brownsville, PA (ex Monongahela) - today NS (and some CSX).
Does anybody have some information about the daily number of trains, hours of high traffic density, lulls etc. How about visiting this place on a Friday or Saturday ? Any info will be appreciated.
Greetings from Germany !
