Deal me in
Posted by edblysard on Tuesday, May 27, 2003 12:32 PM
Ok, boys and girls.
As most of us are aware, the posters known as mike and missouri, while pretending to attempt to inform and convert railroaders and fans to their viewpoint, are really here to do no more than start a argument or pick a fight.
Most of us have sworn not to respond to them, and most of us have failed to keep to that course, myself included.
Its just too much fun to pick on the socialy handicapped, but after a while, it get boring.
Besides, most of us have a real life, and better things to do than waste our time providing entertainment for these two.
It has become a case of watching a dog chase its tail, for the first few minutes, its funny, but after a while, it loses it appeal, and becomes somewhat inane.
Having worked around railroaders for a while, I learned that almost to a man, and woman, if they give their word, they stay the course, their word is more binding than any written contract.
In that light, and because I feel that,
A: These two are nothing more that boreing, petty, closed minded fanatics,
B: They cause damage, instead of trying to solve the problem,
C: They serve no useful purpose, other than allowing us to see into the thinking process of the severly mentaly ill,
D: They are nothing but a waste of time, this websites resources, and our efforts.
I offer this deal and my word to the fans and the railroaders who enjoyed this site, until these two showed up.
No matter how much I am tempted to in the future, I offer my promise that I will no longer respond to any posting by these two, no matter how much fun it offers.
I would bet the farm that Lisa, Jenny, Ken, J, Dan in colorado, Kev in Canada and cabforward, and most others would and do feel the same way, tired of the twins and their hate messages.
So, to that end, you can deal me in to the "just say no to mike and missouri club".
Membership is free and easy, any takers?
(although I did like missouri's unihead comment, sounds sortta like a cult, you know, the uniheads. We could all get together and form one big brain, and rule the world)
Hey, theres a slogan in there,
"Uniheads just say no to mike and missouri"
I am in, anyone else want to ante up?

Ed: I told Mike somewhere in that mess that I was getting in my car and driving off - leaving him standing at the grade xing. So get in - there is plenty of room!

I am ashamed of all of you. Here Ed is a conductor /forman and all the railfans and you want to get out on the interstate and backroads of america and drive around when you could get the NS or CN or any amtrack train with coaches and sleepers with all the asminities . but you abandonded the railroads. I guess you are not the die hard railroaders and railfans i thought you were.

Missouri: As your neighbor to the northwest, I am extending the hand of neighborliness. I will invite you to join our train IF...you button your lip on the latest subject matter you have been expounding on and if you join in with us and have a good time.

If not, it will be your loss.
