VIA Rail workers threaten strike
Posted by trainboyH16-44 on Thursday, December 22, 2005 7:12 PM
VIA Rail Canada workers have threatened to walk off the job Saturday afternoon. This is caused by the fact that they have not had contracts since 2000. They hope that this will sufficiently disrupt the holiday travel, but the government says that most of the holiday travellers have already gotten to their destinations. VIA Rail says that they will not leave anyone stranded and will arrnge busses. Anyone got more info?
