Man, I'm running low on hats from Lotus!
The correct answer, as you guessed, was Baldwin

I believe Alco built a handfull of steam locomotives for the Pennsy in the early 20th century.

Speaking of Pennsy arm twisting, I know they bummed the basic plans for the J1 from the C&O (T1 I think?), and made a couple minor changes. Who built the T1's? And when Pennsy built their J1's, they did it in-house, right?

Have fun!

D is an interesting choice. Is that Norkold, North Dakota we're talking about?[;)]

Trivial sub-trivia: C&O, N&W, and PRR seem to each have had a steam turbine locomotive in the works. Did other roads also pursue them?

Thanks to Chris / CopCarSS for my avatar.
