Emery Gulash?
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, April 6, 2003 7:57 AM
Does anyone know anything about Emery Gulash? I didn't know where to ask and so far I can't seem to really find anything on him. I know he took flim of trains around the 50's and 60's. I also know Pentrex uses a lot of his flims. Anyone know anything else? Was just really curious about what is known of this guy since I keep seeing him in the videos my one friend owns. Thanks if you can help.

...Type that name into "Google" as there seems to be much info there on him.

I tired that but got mostly just things to do with the flim he took. I even emailed Pentex who sell video's with his flim footage but didn't get much that way either. They told me they thought as of 2002 he was actually still in Dearborn, MI.

As with most other people that contribute so much to the hobby all I know is that he provided a lot of New York Central railroad footage and sound, coming to memory, the New York Central Oddyssey Railroad Volumes, possibly issued by Pentrex.

I took a photo of Emery in his "natural" habitat on the property of the EJ&S (East Jordan & Southern Ry) Aug. 6, 1960. If he surfaces I'll try to send him a copy of it.
