According to the new TRAINS magazine 12/05 the Santa Maria Valley RR a long standing family line on the Central California Coast is up on the block. Anybody heard what is expected to happen. UP is the only conmnection and since the closure of the Sugar Beet Refinery about 10 years ago traffic has gone off the cliff. Does this line have a future?
