Its the ALCo MRS1

I know its alco because of the ROUND cab, EMD's have an Angled cab

I believe it is an Alco originally built for the military with trucks that could be regauged. Kind of a universal engine for getting the railroads back up and running to supply the occupying troops rgeradless of the gauge.

Loos like an ALCo RSD1.On the EMD millitary locos the short hood looks like a Baldwin hood.

According to the "Alco World" website, the MRS1 is a GE design which was contracted out to Alco for actual construction..
The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

I know we're not supposed to give away the answers.[}:)]. So,I'll mention that I don't know. It does, however look like a narrow-guage locomotive built for some far-eastern Canadian line,or, one of those adjustable guage units built for the US Army. I think ALCO and EMD built both types. It also looks like a GE export locomotive.

I'll guess #4 Baldwin
