Can you tell us about this train? What is the purpose, history, etc.

I saw the photo. Impressive. This must be an expensive run for the private party involved. Wish something like this would come down here to Florida.

"I like my Pullman Standards & Budds in Stainless Steel flavors, thank you!"

Hey Jim, did you get my e-mail?

Based on the captions for the pictures of it, it's headed for the Grand Canyon, so I doubt you'll be seeing it again anytime soon.

EDIT: N/M, I found your reply in the spam folder... [%-)]

Oh, well, so much for a really good Chicago railfan "grapevine"!

***, I left my favorite spot at Eola yard just before the Amtrak AARPCO (see www.railpictures.net today for picture)special with 100% private varnish came through....***, ***, ***...well, that's the perils of railfanning for you.

Does anybody know when the train (if it is) is going to head west again, perhaps October 2 and perhaps WHAT TIME?

Thanks folks for all your help.
Eolafan (a.k.a. Jim)
