Railfans! WANTED: Photograph of track
Posted by jhugart on Monday, March 19, 2001 6:23 PM
I need a royalty-free picture of prototype railroad track as seen from above, ballast & wooden ties. This is a straight-down image I need, not some vanishing-point picture.

Why? I'm working on a redesign of the Twin City Model Railroad Musem's web site at http://www.tcmrm.org/ . Part of the design idea is to use a railroad track as a navigation bar. The financial investment for a photograph is not available, but a credit and a copyright statement are doable.

If you have such a picture, or can take one (it is winter up here, or I'd take one myself), and are willing to give me the right to use it on our web site in exchange for a named credit, please e-mail me at jacob@hugart.net.

Thanks!

I can get a picture for you if you're still interested. How high above the track are you looking for? (How many ties do you want in the shot).

Hi Jacob - I have no pictures of track but hundreds of pictures of freight car components. If you need any, just gimme a shout. I'll scan and email for you - no credit of copyright stuff to worry about. The price is right.
