Just got this off the Friends of the #261 webpage and their Forum.

Milwaukee Road #261 will heading down to Kansas City, MO to help celebrate the opening of "Rail Experience" at the Kansas City Union Station. According to Judy Sandberg from Friends the #261 will depart Minneapolis, MN on Monday Sept 19 with a train of 5 Milwaukee Road matched cars, just crew no passengers. The #261 and train will be on display at Kansas City Union Station Sept 23,24 and 25th. Then #261 and train will head back north on Monday Sept 26-27 with return in Minneapolis, MN on Sept 28.

It was not stated where the intermediate stops will be or what railroad will be the host.
