There are about 100 high schools in the Los Angeles area. Sorry, just to many to have a favorite.

Been a Dallas Cowboys fan ever since the Staubach era. Being that I was born in Oklahoma and razed by a bunch of die hard Boomer Sooners, the Sooners are my favorite college team . I just dig college games. It is my favorite sport of all. Favorite high school team is the Newton KS Railroaders (class of 1981). Back to college, I also follow the New Mexico Lobos and Arizona State Sundevils--but I'll always be a Sooner. If plans work out right, I am looking into making Phoenix my retirement home in 18 to 20 yrs from now, become a season ticket holder for ASU, maybe take in a UNM game and a Cardinals game or two. Something to look foward to!!!

Just wait til Monday night when you play the improved Cowboys. Mark Brunell, meet Demarcus Ware. Love to see the Cowboys knock off the Iggles for the division crown!

That's an easy one. Barring a fatal illness to the owners, the Chicago Bears won't be going to the Superbowl anytime soon. I have therefore excercised my free-agent-fan option and since becoming a cheesehead is out of the question, I've decided to adopt the Rams. Barring another snowstorm, they'll go all the way this year.

Allan - the West Coast Offense should have remained in the Pacific Ocean.

There was nothing broke, so why did they have to go and "fix" it. Now it really is broke!

We may -just may - get past Pitt, but I don't think we will get past Iowa State. May not even be let on the field.....

If you talking college football it is of course the almost undefeated Boise State.
If NFL then the Dallas Cowboys, America is waiting for them to make a comeback.

My favorite is the Miami Dolphins.

For a super bowl pick I think I'd go with Philadelphia versus Indianapolis.

CSXrules4eva,
I understand your hatred. In fact, I relish it. [:)] It's great to be a hated team in the NFL because it means (usually) that you are so darn good that people can't stand it. And that's a dream for any sports fan. I felt the same way about the Packers after Super Bowl XXXI and the Bears after XX. Ain't nothing worse than finally getting to the title game and losing...something that New England fans have had to deal with for decades.

This must be some kind of karma payback for all those heartbreaks over the years we New Englanders have had to deal with. Even the Red Sox won it all! Honestly, if anyone had come up to me 5 years ago and said that the Pats and the Red Sox would have 4 titles between them before 2005, I would have laughed so hard my spleen would shot out my nose. To refresh, in 2000 the Patriots had only been to the title game twice in 40 years, each time getting crushed by 36 and 14 points. The Red Sox, who hadn't won since 1918, had last been in a World Series 14 years before and had their collective hearts ripped out by the Mets. The Bruins were dead last, IIRC, and finished out of the playoffs again (which is almost impossible these days) and hadn't been to the Stanley Cup Finals since the late 80's-early 90's when Gretzky's Oilers whiped them out two years in a row. And the Celtics were in the cellar, one of the worst teams in the NBA, and while they were the last team to win it all, that was 14 years ago.

espeefoamer,
I don't know how you can say watching the Pats win is boring. [:)] They don't play too many boring games, most are pretty close. Is it repetitive watching them win? Sure (ain't it great?). But boring is not a word I would associate with their play. Their coach, yes, their games, no. [:D]

P.S. My folks voted for the first Foxboro Stadium, and I voted for the new one. As a result, our town gets a cool $2 million each year from the team, plus all the associated business that the stadium draws in to Foxboro. And to think South Boston didn't want them... LOL

I see my Vikings lost today, but the New Orleans Saints won! I think we all aughta adopt them as America's team for the year. I hope they develop a big cheering section in every away game they have to play...

My favorite team is going to have to be the Eagles! My favorite football player of all time becides Bret Farve is David Akers # 2 (kicker). I've never in my life seen a kicker like Akers before.

Yes I will be watching Monday night football tomorrow since the Eagles are playing the Falcons another team I don't like.

The team that I really hate would have to be the New England Patriots. I like the Cowboys better than I do the Patriots. And yes I was routing for the Raiders last Thursday over the Patriots.

Well, as much as I don't usually do off topic posts, somebody has to stand up for the 2 time defending Super Bowl Champs, the New England Patriots.

Who's going to stop them? Sure, any given Sunday, and all that (last year's two losses are proof of that). But can anyone seriously doubt the Pats to adapt and overcome any problems that come their way? Sure, they lost their two coordinators and their two inside linebackers, but they still have B&B (Belichick and Brady). This team has only lost 16 games in the last 4 seasons, garnering 3 titles along the way and a 21 game winning streak. All the other teams are welcome to try, but as #55 said, "To be the champs, you have to beat the champs." And so far, no one has done much of that. [:)]

Edit: Oh, and as far as NCAA football? Sorry, I don't follow the minor leagues of football. I could care less, even if Boston College was the national champions. It's like the Pawtucket Red Sox winning the International League crown...big deal. Nice story and all, but....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. [:)]
