i have purchased all of my railroad books on the santa fe off of ebay got good prices, like i got high green to marceline for $33
and i got 2 santa fe annuals for a $1 a piece!!!!

Wouldn't it be cheaper to purchase a book of choice from B/N (Barnes & Noble) or Borders? Then it would be your's to keep year 'round?

Your local libraries are supposed to be able to get any book you want... you just have to ask. I can't say anything about any specific library or any book, usually I'm not looking for a book...

Railfan book lending library

Would you be interested in a Railfan Book Lending Library that worked something like this:
1. Pay a deposit of $100, that is refundable after six rentals.
2. For a $15 per book fee, be able to "borrow" a railfan orientated book for 4 weeks.
3. The book is mailed to you at no extra charge. You mail it back at your expense.
I would, for example, be willing to pay $15 to be able to enjoy a book for a month that I might be hesitate to pay $60 to own.
What do you think? Would this run afoul of any copyright laws?
