wow...thank you! that gives me exactly what I need to do my 2 GATX units. I found on another forum that the MILW units had 81" short hoods, so I am good to go.

The 73** and maybe more , are all Ex Milw Road units. A bunch of the MILW untis went to a mexican railroad. HLCX has some too.

anyone know what the nose length is on the Milwaukee Road SD40-2's?

also, does anyone know what railroads the GATX SD40-2's came from?
