I think the SP should be in daylight. The CNW SHOULD NOT INCLUDE ANY ZITO WHATSOEVER! [XX(]that was one of the ugliest paint schemes in America (although both Katy schemes are the winners so far! Especially that green and yellow junk[XX(]). The DRGW should be in the orange-white F-unit scheme!

for CNW what about that Black, Green & Yellow scheme they had in the ( I think) 1950's?

I'd like to see the C&NW unit painted similarly to the old Northwestern Executive F units back in the eighties and early nineties.

Sure, keep making the Heritage schemes, but KEEP THE PAINT SCHEMES COMPLETLY ORIGINAL! The ones they've made so far have not been very good, even though they used bright colors, they AREN'T the originals! I'm sure a few railfans along side the tracks' eyes will widen if they see a brand new engine painted in one of the old authentic paint jobs!
Long live the BNSF .... AND its paint scheme. SchemerBob

I said it before & I'll say it again...

SP=a variation of the Black Widow scheme.
CNW=a variation of the Hudson 4-6-4 streamliner green over green with yellow pinstripes or, the "400" paint scheme. Maybe both.

Yes I would like to see what a SD70ACe would look like in Black Widow paint or a scheme like it. That would be something to see.

I have to say as of now my favorite paint scheme on the new Heritage units is the WP's scheme, suprisingly I like that over MoPac's blueish paint scheme, which happens to be my favorite color. I really can't wait to see what SP and CNW heritage units look like.

Eventually, they will do one for all the RR's. They will mess up the D&RGW. SP& Cotton Belt will be easy. There should be plenty of dirty unpatched units left. It may be fun if they did one in Daylight colors.

What about a SD70ACe in "Black Widow" paint........oooooohhhhhhhhh that would be SWEET!!!!!!!

"Mess up"?

That might be true if they were trying to emulate a particular paint scheme, but that's not the idea here.

There will be three more Heritage units--D&RGW, CNW, and SP.

I wouldn't be surprised if orange, silver, gold, and black all appeared on the D&RGW
unit. (I believe this unit will be numbered 1991)

For CNW (UP 1995), expect more green--yellow would make it look too much like an ordinary UP unit. It will probably have a nose logo design reminiscent of CNW's cab units, and some version of the "lightning stripe" motif (Mr. Mike Iden came up with the zigzag for both the CNW and UP paint schemes, and he's involved with these heritage paint schemes, too).

SP? (UP 1996) Again, you can probably expect to see gray, black, scarlet, and Daylight Orange somewhere on the unit.

Why? I think it's pretty cool that a railroad would put out the money to basicly please others.
