I work on the Needles Sub (California) for BNSF as a conductor,..we on the BNSF TransCon see many of the 7600 & 7700 numbered power with the new logo since many are the new es44ac units for emission standards for the L.A. Basin and the ports at L.A. & Long Beach......We go 70 MPH across the desert on double mains in the basin,20 to 30mph up the hill to Goffs, then again at Ash Hill,,..100 trains a day between Needles & Barstow,California...Come see REAL railroading...To the guy hung up on CSX... THEY ARE NASTY LOCOS,NOT MAINTAINED,.A POOR EXCUSE FOR POWER WHEN IN OUR CONSIST...We hate having those awful EASTERN units(CSX & NS ) in our trains...Heaven forbid ,if one is on the point !!!...Really...CSX & NS units are a western railroad crewmans nightmare..They are equiped MUCH cheaper in the cab, horrible seats,no leg room due to bolted down, non sliding seats....Take pictures of a "Mack" Garbage truck,or a CSX OR NS unit..they are ALL the same
By the way,we M.U. units together....There is NO SUCH THING AS A " LASH UP " on the railroad.....
Hope this helps Rich...Needles,California

eolafan,

Then I feel pretty lucky. I live on UP's Overland Route in Northern Nevada and I was lucky enough to have seen two so far. The BNSF operates about 8 to 12 trackage rights trains a week over this line. The "Overland Route" here in Nevada is a secondary mainline when conpared to the main that you live by! Hope your luck changes[:D]

I have only seen one once, in Wyaconda, Missouri. It was the one ES44DC with the yellow lettering.
Long live the BNSF .... AND its paint scheme. SchemerBob

If you mean their "new logo" than yes, but I hate talking about it!! I saw two on a westbound coal train out here in Ohio on CSX and didn't get any form of pictures of it!! Curse it!! I want to see more and get "PICTURES" of them!!

BNSF Heritage III Paint Sightings

How many have seen the new BNSF Heritage III Paint scheme with speed lettering and a wedge shape line underneat the lettering?

I live in the Detroit area and have seen none in Michigan. I saw three in a row sequentially in Rochelle over July 4th weekend and saw 1 yesterday near Walbridge Yard outside of Toledo, Ohio at Vickers Junction. It was lashed up with a Heritage 1 and a NS.

Interestingly, over 20 MOW equipment pieces were working on the NS main line at Vickers Jct. and created a parade as they headed across the diamond to the yard at dusk. What a sight to see!
