do they paint all SD70's orange and green (that's mostly what we see here) and random on rest or do they actually have a pattern?

All of the SD70MAC units are painted at the factory in the "Heritage II" scheme or are repainted from the "Executive" green and cream colored scheme when in the shop for major work. Some of the older units (not SD70MAC) can get the simplified "Heritage I" scheme which includes less striping and detail work, and you can see some of this scheme on old SD and GP units.
