Very much looking forward to learning where the new cameras will be located.

As a partner in the Ft. Madison camera, it's been an expensive but rewarding proposition. The original camera was based on a complicated Apple server technology and we apologize for the interruptions during our "pioneering" years. We've switched to a new integrated camera/server from Canon and believe our new technology delivers great performance, even for "dial-up" visitors. We are now working with several other towns who are interested in cameras, and we should have the 2nd and 3rd cameras up and running by mid January.

Thanks Jerry. I knew it was out there somewhere but couldn't remember where. Trains dropped their sponsorship when they had all kinds of problems getting it to work properly

That rail-cam is alive and well at WWW.livetrains.com
Jerry

There is no such thing as a bad day of railfanning. So many trains, so little time.

James,
The last I saw of the rail-cam, it was down for repair and when they brought it back up no one could remote control it, so I think they turned it off. I did notice that when I was trying to use it, it appeared kids were moving it all around and pointing up against the building and all around except where it should have been.

Now that I have my computer fixed and I am viewing the Rochelle Rail-Cam regularly again, I noticed the "other" rail-cam (along the Miss. River?) is gone. Where did it go? Anybody know?
