QUOTE: Originally posted by Blue Ridge Front This guy apparently took a wrong turn on Pearson Falls Rd. in Melrose, N.C. and made it about two miles down the Norfolk Southern line toward Tryon. He had about a 100 foot fall down the washed out bank when he opened his door... didn't make his way out for about six or eight hours and was apparently drunk enough that the fall didn't kill him. Remember kids, don't drink and drive! P.S. - My posted picture below is where he got on the tracks.
Have fun with your trains

Probably quite a bit of under carriage repair will be necessary on vehicle if they are successful in getting it back on a road..... Quentin Reply Anonymous Member sinceApril 2003 305,205 posts Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 6:34 PM Are the red x's still there? It's showing pictures for me. I'm sure they'll fix it, but whenever they have the time to do so. Seeing as there are no trains running the line, I can't imagine they're in too big of a hurry. As far as the status of the line, it's still sitting there with no signs of re-opening. Well, the good part to the story is its a truck that found the wash out, not a train...
