Aaron ,When Conrail purchased the standard-cab SD70s,they planned for the engines to go to NS after the split and gave them NS compatible numbers.NS didn't have to change the number style until the engines are painted black. DT Pa.

Did Norfolk Southern ever paint out the numbers on the EX Conrail SD70 regular cabs? Or did they just leave them the same in their Conrail number style?
Thanks, Aaron
