Well when the motel folks inform you that because the "oil" folks are in town & that there are no rooms you have to find another alternative. I to am sorry we could not connect as well as being suprised that there were no rooms available in RS that day. All the RS pixs were taken from the overpass at East Flaming Gorge Road.

As for the weather also no complaints as besides the rain in the AM that one day in Granger it was perfect.

I wi***hat I had that kind of RR action where I live. Then i would not have to travel many miles to enjoy myself.

Yes also met a lot of fine UPRR folks along the way. [:o)][:)]

I'm, sorry that the weather didn't really hold out for you for your Granger trip, the week after memorial day is ALWAYS horrible weather wise. I really like the shot you got of the autorack headed east with Wilkins Peak in the background ( http://vgalleries.com/members/railfan1/2005-04/P5310044.jpg ) But I am wondering the wheerabouts of this picture ( http://vgalleries.com/members/railfan1/2005-04/P6010079.jpg ) It doesnt look like a familiar place to me.
I still find it kinda odd that you couldn't find a room in RS or GR at all. And I also feel bad that we couldn't meet up.
But I am glad that you could come and see the area, anmd catch the action that I get to see everyday. [:D]
