Man, it's a good thing that Canon will have taken over Nikon, Pentax, KonicaMinolta, and Olympus and brought me the EOS 1Dx, with a 30 Gigapixel CMOS sensor, and matched with that 10-2400mm f1.2L DO IS lens (it comes with its own semi to carry it around on). I'll be able to grab some great pictures of all this stuff!

CSX and UP will merge. BNSF and NS will merge. hehehe lol Conrail might become apart of Chessie Pacific, which will be the result of CSX and UP. lol

I really do beleive that serious advancements in locomotive remote control technology will be made, then sooner or later the railroads are going to require all road employees to become certified on remote control.

Ok finally, in the next 20 years I would hopefull made senioity (spelling) being a locomotive engineer. lol
LORD HELP US ALL TO BE ORIGINAL AND NOT CRISPY!!! please? Sarah J.M. Warner conductor CSX

There will be one locomotive manfactur................Toyota/Walmart.

Does that mean you'd have to wear one of those stupid blue vests every time you operated them? Oh that's right... No Engineer.

You'd have to wear a Hertz uniform as that's who's renting power, that, by the way, has a huge Toyota Tundra painted on the side. But hey, who cares? The whole country is one big theme park.

If he is it would be a scary world to live in.

It already is (unless you are not particularly worried about "United States: One Nation, Under Surveliance).

The US Supreme Court ruled today you cannot even use that stuff for medical purposes if your state legislature and a physican approves. Time for you to move back out into the sunshine and go for a nice walk.

I think in the next 20 years:

UP will buy BNSF and Union Santa fe will buy CP to form "Union Candian pacific Santa fe mostly intermodal but thank god for burnlington northern coal railroad".

NS will buy Guilford to get into new england and be come Norfolk yankee and then CSX will buy Norfolk Yankee and create " Atlantic coast line we got the east coast by the balls lines"

Canadian national will continue the quest to ruin profitible shortlines and regionals. Amtrak will have been destroyed by an asteriod after they just started makeing money.

There will be one locomotive manfactur................Toyota/Walmart.

Rails will be stampped.........Made with 37% post consumer toilet paper.

After years of expirements with variois materials for ties, we will all realize that the only good tie is a wood tie.

Grade crossings will be equipped with tow missles to shoot any moveing cars----they would have died any way.

Union Candian pacific Santa fe mostly intermodal but thank god for burnlington northern coal railroad has launced the first locomotive in space , yet still cant get a hot shot from LA island to Chicagolopolis in 5 weeks.

All trains will be powerd by hamster wheels spinning a genorator as diesel just became to expensive.
