Your little sign was a half-mile marker, between two mileposts.

Not really maps, but you need to procure an employee timetable. It will show the milepost of each station along a given line.

When picture taking at the Tyler Cotton Belt Depot museam openeing and I decided to drive around getting some shots of the old abandonded and semi abandonded lines around town. On a branch of the old MP now UPline from Troup,Texa to Tyler,Texas I saw this little sign the had the fraction of 1/2 on it. Could someone tell me what that means? Also besides the crossing boxes having the Mile post written on them is there a place to get maps that tell you the milepost of a given section?
