HLMX lease units if there was a little blue in there too.

The number doesn't sound right, but the description of the gray-with-red-nose unit sounds like one of those old LMX GE units (Dash 8s?) that BN used. They went to Helm, I'm sure, but I don't know if they were renumbered. They were 8500s as LMX units, I recall.

Helm 6204-6210 are ex BC Rail 736-742, these are EMDs first built for Kennecott Copper. These went to Helm in 1995, so CN is innocent-This time.
CP 5545 is now DME 6073(plain SD-40) so NREX is not using CP's numbers on the SD40-2s

5545 Could be a former CP SD40-2 (NREX has a 5500 class that appears to be SD40-2's all from CP)

Yeah, it was probably that.

Our attention spans are pretty short - so will make this....short!

Lineup just outside the yard on Memorial Day -

BNSF - 510 - 2 Axel Dash 8
BNSF - 7015 - SD40
NS - 9864 - Dash 9
EMD 789 - GP38
BNSF 2537 - GP35
BNSF - 2365 - GP38
BNSF 2308 - GP38

They were pushing these around the edges of the yard

And

BNSF 5232 - Dash 9
BNSF 6329 - SD40
CN 5746 - this was interesting cuz it had GTW under the window - SD40
BNSF 4570 - Dash 9
HLCX 9029 - SD40
CSX 8060 - SD40
and
BNSF 783 - Dash 9

All headend power - pulling a mixed freight - quietly sitting and waiting to get into the yard!

I was thrilled out of my mind since we usually only see single maybe two engines on the head end.

Now the questions -

Saw a couple we aren't sure of - #5545 - gray body, white /// and red nose (his description, since he had the binoculars) What possible railroad? Maybe NREX?

And a red white and blue engine # 6208 - Maybe HELX? Anyone able to tell me for sure?

And finally - TFN 1600 - is this a 70?

Can anyone help on this?

Appreciate it...

Mookie
