I plan to make it to the museum in the next few weeks. Last time I went (Right after our latest Thanksgiving), the repair facility was only a pile of I beams. I am also looking forward to the new exhibits that will be located in the old shop building.

From an Associated Press Story

New Building Opens At B&O Railroad Museum

BALTIMORE -- Friday starts a three-day celebration marking the opening of the Railroad Car and Locomotive Restoration Facility at Baltimore's B&O Railroad Museum.

It's the latest phase of renovations and improvements that began after heavy snow brought down the roof of the museum's roundhouse in 2003. The roundhouse reopened last November.

The museum will use the new building to make repairs to railroad cars and other items that were damaged in the storm -- and for regular restoration work.
