I would think "unpatched" Conrail engines would be rare, if there are even any of those left. I saw several Conrail units while in Pennsylvania recently, but they all had 'patched' rail abbreviations added on the cabs.

There used to be a Conrail GP-38 operated around Dover, Delaware often for the benefit of a Kraft Foods plant. But a few weeks ago it was replaced by an NS loco.

We see Conrail blue in Memphis fairly often.

Seeing it in Tampa, though... that would, I'd think, be as noteworthy as you indicated...

One note: I believe there are leased units running around still in Conrail paint. You might have seen one of those.

Still a fair amount of blue here in the Birmingham area on both CSX and NS.

Lots of blue in central PA if you look hard enough.

Tharmeni : I looked up the Seminole Gulf Railroad. Their website says it is the only freight railroad in southwest Florida. True? Looks like they also mention dinner trains, and some passenger excursions. How big is this little railroad?

Thanks to Chris / CopCarSS for my avatar.

On CSX and NS, there is still a fair amount of power that they acquired in the split-up of Conrail that is still in Conrail blue. They have all been re-numbered for the new owners but many have not yet been repainted.
The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul
