Not to worry, because I just chalk it up to a senior moment. Unfortunatly, I am having more and more of them lately. A friend told me they don't go away or lessen any. Onec in 1968 I traveled all over northern Europe with no film in camera and you are right, I have never done that again. Finding a disposal camera in Kootenai, Idaho probably is easy just across town at K-Mart but in this case there is no time. I own so many cameras that I can not carry at once it seems silly to purchase one more. However, more senior moments may change that thinking.Just feeling the 700 move and steam up is worth more than film could ever capture. I have all that experence in my head-if I can just find it.

OMG, i can relate to "no film" being a "pro photo guy", it does happen to the best of us. the good side is ... it generally only happens ONE TIME!! then you NEVER FORGET

but, just a suggestion, the time you ; forget your camera, buy a disposable at the first store you come to. I have done that a time or 2.

Hi Jerome,

I was chasing the 700 between Ritzville and Pasco yesterday with a couple friends (while also working on a story for TRAINS).

While I was interviewing the crew at the Grain Yard (south of the Pasco roundhouse across Ainsworth Street; they had spotted the 700 there for the night) one of my friends discovered he had neglected to put film in his camera -- it had been empty the entire day!

We had a good laugh about that, believe me!

On Sunday, I drove to Spokane for the Fall Swap Meet and found it to be the same as in the past. Not much new except for more layouts displayed and more models for sale. We headed back to Sandpoint to pick up friend Mike who had a ride behind the 700. While there, we watched the train being switch with MRL power and the 700 switching to pick up its tool car and take on water. Just a small croud on hand but great light, great show and I forgot my camera! Bummer!
