I think that it's because of the Meth problems going on in Omaha.

nanaimo73 : Where are you? I saw 6925 while driving through Chamberlain on Sunday, and thought the same.

A sad story. I hope the people who stole the wire get caught and have to pay a hefty fine!

Sickening but not surprising nowadays.

I hope the "perps" get caught!

Sad that this giant might not run anymore.

The rate for copper is about $1 a pound... Seems like an awful lot of work.

Someone had stolen over 300LBS of copper wire fron the UP DDA40X down in Omaha according to KETV Channel 7. http://theomahachannel.com
But since the Locomotive will be on display and will no longer be ever used on the UP said that they will not replace the copper wire. The wire was used to power the Traction motors. The owners of the park are asking the public to keep a look out for the sell for money of the copper wire, they are asked to call the Omaha Police ASAP. End of list!
