Did not go south of Denver, I was between the two main tracks at Castle Rock all day.

Dadgummit...just drove around Denver looking for the places it could be hiding to no avail. It must've turned around and headed back? Son of a gun, I've been having a recurring dream that it was coming to town. Just figured that it meant for the Frontier Days Train....

There's a pic of 844 on railpictures.net today and caption said it was 844's break-in run from Cheyenne.

UP 8444 in Denver

Does anyone know why Union Pacific's locomotive 8444 (the 844) is in Denver? I was sitting in Union Station this morning when I came into work. It had a short mainenance train behind it including a caboose. Most of the box cars had "snow plow service" labeling.
