Ah now I got it. Sorry for misreading your message. Cannot do sorry as Delta had a special fare from WPB to LV (no Reno) of $238.00 R/T & I snatched it up. I also had $100.00 vouchers from Delta so you can say for $70.00 I am literally going coast to coast. [:o)][:D][:)]

Somehow spbed we seem to be repeating old terriortory. I'm saying, rather than fly into Las Vegas, fly into Reno. Let's meet, we'll have so many neat railroading things to see, I'd love to share with you all the region has to offer.

After that, its a Reno - Las Vegas shuttle for you, getting you where you originally wanted to be...

Chad,

A bar...I do this at work, a teamster dock.

Yes, there has been times I've been nose to nose, but things have worked out for the better, neither me or my nemesis ended up on the disabled list due to a "FALL off the DOCK," not witnessed by coworkers! I never had to eat crow either, nor did the other fellow.

I do have a salty tongue, for that I'm sorry. If I have hurt someone's feelings I'm sorry, I can and do admit wrong and will apologize for any actions on my part publicly to someone that might have been trampled on by my speech.

Jim

OK Jim, apology accepted. Truce?

Sure,

Take an early flight into Reno, then take a shuttle to Las Vegas. I'd enjoy meeting spbed. I suggest this only because you sound so much more cash fluild than I, or is it me...Give me the dates, and I'd take the time off.

Somehow, I just don't understand what you're saying. You were in LaGrande, Ore and saw several UPRRs. Are UPRRs UFOs?

Fellow railfan, a human truism is most folks love to talk-about what they do. If you are interested, they will be too.

I never could understand why an interested CEO would not spend 25% of his/her time visiting places of business un-announced!

Sorry Jim the UPRR is now the RR in your area so rather then fight it why not join the fun cause the SPRR is not returning no matter how much you want it to? [:o)][:D][:p]

I'm just a crazy truck driver on holiday, yes the UP had absorbed the Western Pacific by-then...Was nuteral on this.

Anyway, I'am up east of LaGrande, Oregon, 1984 is the year. We spot helpers. Well my friends are satisfied with taking photos, not me...I walk up to the locomotive set, and the engineer invites me up...

He then talks of turn and burns, since that day, I understood the YuPEE is about exploitation of human flesh.

So, after three really bad situations, if it was the real world the powers to be would have been gone at the YuPEE! They aren't, so there must be an other-world explanation.

Yep, about two hundered folks control corparate dealings in the USA, its called interlocktory boards, most of them members all pal-around together....

Me my #1 is the UPRR because they assisted me in advancing my career. #2 would be BNSF. While I had many dealings with the SPRR because of there $$$$ situation they were never a player. I did sign their petition though to allow them to obtain the GSR even though I felt at that time in the position they were it would only make the end come faster. Even though I live on the E/coast I have little interest in CSX & NS even though I also had many dealings with the former NWRR. [:D][:p]

Last week it had two GE's and an EMD SD40-2 on two different days. BTW do you know the locals train id (alpha codes)? Sure would like to find them out.
