The 87-car train, on the Pratt Subdivision of the Wichita Service Unit, part of the former Rock Island (later Southern Pacific), was carrying chemicals, paint, and fireworks. There were no reported injuries and no hazmat concerns. All the derailed cars remained upright. The route is expected to be reopened sometime tonight. Tyrone is 10 miles southwest of Liberal, Kans., in the Oklahoma panhandle.[:(] Living nearby to MP 186 of the UPRR Austin TX Sub Reply Join our Community! Our community is FREE to join.
