No, but if your depending on someone else to drive you somewhere, it can be a long drive to some of the places named. Good luck.

Ok, thanks. And don't worry about me saying where I live, NC is a big state. It's not like someone is going to target in on me.

Pokemon,
You don't say where you are, but Selma is a good spot, at the junction of the CSX mainline to FL and the Norfolk Southern Ry (NCRR) . Another active spot is almost anywhere on the Norfolk Southern main between Greensboro and Kings Mountian. I personally like Thomasville as there is an old depot there , used by the local chamber of commerce, that is comfortable to sit at and has a good view of the track. Hamlet is interesting with a fair amount of action with its crossing and yard. Good Luck.

I live in NC and was wondering where there are some great train watching hot spots around this state. I am a trainbuff but sadly I do not get to see many trains (it might also be because I'm 13 and don't yet have acces to a car[V]) If I could get suggestions, that would be awesome. Someday, I want to work on the railroad, and I know I'll see lots of trains then[:D]
