I am planning a trip to Council Bluffs over the Memorial Day weekend for a gaming convention. I am planning on slipping out quite a bit to do some sightseeing at the UP yards (which are only a quarter mile form the convention center). Does anyone have any suggestions on good view locations versus bad ones? I will be on foot mostly.
And yes, I have my September 2003 issue in hand. [:D]
I appreciate any suggestions. The excitement builds everyday.

Here's one: Any places that I should avoid? Such as "wrong side of the tracks" locations?
